We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 4-Slide Machine Operator to operate and maintain four-slide forming machines used in the manufacturing of precision metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical forming machines and a solid understanding of metalworking processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 4-slide (multi-slide) machines to produce metal parts to specification.
- Adjust machine settings, feeds, and tooling for different production runs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with team leads and quality control to improve production efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience operating 4-slide or similar metal forming machines (e.g., Baird, Nilson, or Waterbury machines).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with custom tooling setups and machine adjustments.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and lean manufacturing practices.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
