Job Title: Academic Mentor
Location: Multiple Campus Locations
Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hr
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday (varied hours)
Job Summary:
Adecco is hiring Academic Mentors for a leading college education client serving adult learners (18+). Mentors support students' academic and personal growth by building strong relationships, promoting engagement, tracking progress, and helping adapt instruction to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trust and rapport with students
- Monitor and encourage classroom engagement
- Address behavior issues and report as needed
- Support assignment completion and understanding
- Adapt instruction to diverse learning styles
- Maintain respectful communication with all stakeholders
- Record and track student progress accurately
- Follow up on missing/incomplete data
- Foster student independence and study skills
- Adjust strategies based on student needs
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment
- Stay current with best practices in mentoring
Qualifications:
- Experience in education or mentoring preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective classroom management abilities
- Proficient in data entry and digital tools
- Adaptable, empathetic, and student-focused
Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
