Job Title: Accounting Coordinator

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, 100% in office
Report To: Financial Controller
JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Coordinator performs accounts payable and accounts receivable duties as per GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) as well as other administrative duties common to this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
G/L coding of payables.
Adherence to 3-way match approval process for posting payables.
Post supplier/vendor payables and payments.
Post reimbursable expenses and payments.
Reconcile of credit card statements.
Create customer invoices.
Create commercial documents for exportation.
Create customer credit memos.
Create customer debit memos.
Compile and make bank deposits.
Post customer payments against invoices and reconcile balance.
Respond appropriately and provide needed documents for AR and AP inquires.
Maintain filing system for AP and AR documents.
Assists in financial closings.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, follow up on overdue balances, and propose action plans for collections.
Posts approved journal entries.
Collaborate with other departments to gather and provide necessary financial information.
Assists with annual physical inventory count and reconciliation.
Cross-trained to assist with receptionist and administrative assistant duties.
Cross-trained to assist with order processing and customer service.
Additional duties as assigned by direct manager to complete the day-to-day activities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Or some combination of experience and education equivalent.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
This position requires competency in all Microsoft Office applications with an above average skill level in Excel, competency with ERP software and its accounting modules.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude.
Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
Solid knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (knowledge of M3 is a plus).
Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
