Adecco is seeking a dependable and versatile Administrative Assistant with strong accounting experience to join our client’s team at a leading plastics manufacturing company in Cortland, NY.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in QuickBooks, solid bookkeeping skills, and a keen understanding of general accounting practices. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update accounting records, including ledgers, journals, and financial reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable using QuickBooks.
Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely manner.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and credit accounts.
Assist in payroll processing, including handling timesheets, deductions, and payroll queries.
Support the preparation of financial reports and budget tracking.
Assist with general office administrative tasks, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and managing office supplies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
Manage payroll processing using HCM Paycor (experience with Paycor is a plus).
Handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Proficient in QuickBooks (a must-have for this role).
Experience in payroll processing and general bookkeeping practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
A 2-year college degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or relevant experience.
Experience with HCM Paycor software.
Payroll processing experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
