Job Summary:

The Annealing Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring annealing furnaces and related equipment to heat-treat metal wire and strip products. This role ensures that materials meet specified mechanical and metallurgical properties by following precise temperature and time cycles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate annealing furnaces according to production specifications.
  • Monitor temperature controls, timers, and gauges to ensure proper heat treatment.
  • Load and unload coils or strips of metal into furnaces using hoists or forklifts.
  • Inspect materials before and after annealing for quality assurance.
  • Record process data and maintain accurate production logs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal processing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with annealing processes and furnace operation is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.


Pay Details: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
