A/P Clerk

Adecco is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston, Tx. In this role, you will be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in A/P, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances

  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports

  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying Federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks

  • Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and maintain appropriate documentation

  • Issue stop payments or purchase order amendments when needed

  • Process employee expense reports and requests for advances; prepare related checks

  • Maintain account ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions

  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date historical records and files

  • Calculate and report sales tax requirements based on paid invoices

  • Handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity

  • Support the accounting department with additional duties as assigned

  • Contribute to achieving accounting and organizational goals

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong budget tracking and expense management abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building positive vendor and team relationships

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail — a must

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve issues efficiently

  • Strong data entry and computer skills

  • ERP software experience required; Epicor (preferably Kinetics) is a plus

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
