Our client in the medical industry is searching for a passionate Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team in Largo, Florida! Here, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of medical devices used by patients worldwide.

  • Length of assignment: Temp to Hire

  • Location: Largo FL, 33773

  • Pay: $20.25/Hour

  • Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday (6 AM – 2:30 PM)

 

This is an onsite position.

  

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years’ experience 

  • OR

  • Associates degree or equivalent technical certification in a relevant field with 1+ years’ experience

  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and analyzing electro-mechanical devices (Associates degree)

  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and analyzing electro-mechanical devices (High School diploma/GED)

  • Experience with medical devices or other regulated industries is a plus.

Job description

  • Uphold all environmental, health, and safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Adhere to established Quality Management Systems procedures, review maintenance records, and meticulously complete all required documentation.

  • Independently and collaboratively manage workflow within the service line, ensuring production goals are met.

  • Employ technical knowledge to diagnose problems, conduct tests, and identify root causes of equipment malfunctions using instruments like digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges.

  • Write clear and concise technical reports summarizing troubleshooting findings.

  • May rotate into designated repair and test areas as needed.

  • Perform inspections as outlined by established procedures.

  • Train colleagues on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting procedures (as needed).

  • Perform other assigned duties to support the team and department.

  • Proficiency in basic math and the ability to navigate and utilize various software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and company-specific software.

  • The ability to work independently to effectively diagnose equipment issues.

  • Strong analytical skills to perform basic statistical analyses from device history logs and interpret technical diagrams/drawings.

  • A meticulous attention to detail and the ability to craft clear, concise reports.

  • A commitment to safety, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

  • The physical ability to sit/stand for extended periods, walk frequently, stoop, reach, grasp objects, and perform fine and gross motor movements.

  • The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. routinely and occasionally up to 41 lbs.

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Pay Details: $20.25 per hour
