Senior Level Calibration Technician

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Summary: Experienced and motivated Senior Calibration Technician with a robust background in electronics test and measurements. Adept at performing complex calibrations on high-level and unique test and measurement instruments. Possesses a strong troubleshooting, repair, and calibration skill set with a focus on customer interaction and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibrations on advanced and specialized test and measurement instrumentation.

  • Utilize expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration to address unique equipment issues.

  • Engage with customers to identify needs related to traceability, adequacy of standards, and test procedures, as well as addressing repair and limited calibration requirements.

  • Oversee and ensure the timely and effective preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.

  • Manage workload distribution among technicians in the absence of the Laboratory Manager.

  • Perform daily inspections of incoming equipment, verifying the presence of accessories and manuals, identifying malfunctions, and updating equipment status as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Military calibration training and work experience (PMEL or TMDE) OR Associate’s Degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience calibrating test and measurement equipment in commercial or military calibration environments.

  • Proficiency in calibrating various disciplines of Test & Measurement Equipment, including Electrical/Electronics - DC/low.

  • Prior experience with Network Analyzers.

  • Strong understanding of microwave and RF principles.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Experience:

  • Calibration of EMI receivers, power sensors, LISNs, and CDNs.

  • Knowledge of test codes such as the IEC-61000 series.

Skills:

  • Advanced calibration and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Customer-focused with a keen ability to address and resolve equipment issues.

  • Effective workload management and team leadership capabilities.



Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
