Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machine tools for both metallic and non-metallic parts. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-axis machines and the ability to read and interpret blueprints to produce precision parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and sample parts to determine specifications and setup requirements.
- Measure and mark materials for machining, ensuring accuracy of dimensions and tolerances.
- Select, align, and secure appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for milling, lathing, grinding, and other machining processes.
- Set controls for machining factors such as speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and cutting depth/angle.
- Program and operate CNC machinery; troubleshoot and adjust as needed.
- Conduct trial runs and verify machine settings and programmed data.
- Inspect and verify finished parts against specifications using precision measuring tools.
- Fit and assemble machined parts into finished assemblies.
- Install machined parts into equipment and perform tests for functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve machining or assembly issues.
- Develop specifications from general concepts and prepare part sketches as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 months of relevant machining experience or equivalent training/education combination.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with machine setup and tool selection.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $35.00 per year
