Compensation Analyst

 

Summary:

Under direction, processes standard compensation transactions, performs job analysis, assists with salary survey submissions and studies & analyses on matters related to internal Compensation programs; and performs related duties as required. Excellent analytical skills and ability to use Microsoft Excel as an analytical tool.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • HR Transactions Processing – Monitor shared mailbox and approve standard transactions in HCM.  Obtain information from field HR team regarding non-standard transactions and present to Corporate Compensation team.
  • Compensation Planning Technology – Update & maintain compensation planning tools.  Assist in technology upgrades and migrations.
  • Job Evaluations- Perform job evaluations and provide analysis and information to Corporate Compensation team to maintain competitive market position within the Company guidelines.
  • Salary Surveys - Gather internal data for annual submissions to surveys.  Assist with the timely submission of data and responding to inquiries from survey companies.
  • Spot Bonus Program- Administer the Company’s spot bonus program including monitoring budget spend and generating monthly reports for HR.
  • Data Audits – Audit Workday HCM system to ensure compensation-related changes are made correctly.  Investigate & resolve discrepancies.
  • Annual Compensation Processes - Assist in administration of Company base pay and bonus programs including annual focal merit and bonus cycles.
  • Adhoc Reporting- Generate reports from various compensation systems as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities – Participate in departmental initiatives and complete projects as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated intermediate Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic compensation concepts, such as FLSA, market movement and compression and understanding of how these factor into analyses.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, skilled in manipulating data, ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate findings and insights to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects at once.
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for identifying solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of sensitivity and exercise discretion in regard to confidential material.

    Experience and Education:

    Experience:        2-3 years’ experience as a compensation analyst

    Education:           Bachelor’s degree in business administration, statistics, mathematics or related discipline or equivalent experience
