Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Hawaii-Based)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial, residential, and/or infrastructure projects across the Hawaiian Islands. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Hawaii's construction standards, site logistics, subcontractor management, and environmental and cultural sensitivities unique to the region.
This role is critical to delivering high-quality, on-schedule, and on-budget builds while maintaining a safe and compliant job site. You will lead field teams, coordinate subcontractors, and serve as the on-site representative for project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, and crew performance

Ensure work is executed in compliance with project plans, specifications, budgets, and timelines

Maintain and update project schedules using P6, MS Project, or similar software

Enforce compliance with OSHA and Hawaii-specific safety regulations (EM 385-1-1 a plus)

Coordinate materials deliveries, equipment usage, and manpower allocation

Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress

Communicate proactively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Owners regarding site status

Maintain accurate field documentation, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports

Lead pre-construction and subcontractor meetings

Support project close-out and punch list resolution
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with Hawaii-based project experience preferred

Proven success managing projects such as vertical commercial/residential builds, civil infrastructure, utilities, or government/military work

Strong knowledge of Hawaii building codes, permitting, and logistics

Familiarity with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and field reporting software

Working knowledge of safety standards (OSHA 30 required, EM 385-1-1 preferred)

Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specs

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Must be able to obtain access to military or government installations, if required

High school diploma or GED required; construction management or engineering degree preferred
Pay Details: $750,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
