Job Title: Copper Bus Bar / EHRT Operator (Must have experience with Fanuc programming, G-code, and machining processes)

Location: Gahanna, OH
Shift: Second Shift
Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 3:15pm – 1:45am

  • Training (First Shift): Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

Position Overview:
Our client. is seeking a skilled Copper Bus Bar / EHRT Operator to join their team in a fast-paced job shop environment. This temp-to-perm, full-time position involves operating multi-station punch machines, fabricating copper bus bars, and performing various machining and inspection tasks. They are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in machining or general fabrication, ideally with a background in precision metal products manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate multi-station punch machines for copper bus bar fabrication.

  • Create and edit programs using Fanuc, G-code, and other necessary software.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.

  • Perform deburring, drilling, and tapping of copper bus bar materials.

  • Inspect materials for quality using handheld tools, such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Maintain familiarity with ISO standards and quality control procedures.

  • Prioritize and manage job functions in a dynamic and busy environment.

  • Support all aspects of copper bus bar operations, assisting in other departments as needed.

  • Perform general shop duties, including using forklifts and pallet jacks.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of on-the-job machinist and/or general fabrication experience.

  • Background in the manufacture of precision metal products; copper bus bar experience is preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience with Fanuc programming, G-code, and machining processes.

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Solid understanding of material inspection procedures and standards.

  • Experience with handheld inspection tools, such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and related software.

  • Forklift/pallet jack experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to bend, twist, stand, stoop, sit, walk, and reach overhead.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position in a shop environment.

Additional Information:

  • Wage: $22.00/hr (minimum, negotiable based on experience and fit).

  • Full-time status available after meeting qualifications.

  • 2 paid 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid meal period.

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
