We are hiring a Customer Service & Sales Supervisor for our client located in Brooklyn, NY.
Are you an experienced customer service and sales professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic, growing company? We’re seeking a Customer Service & Sales Supervisor to lead our customer support operations, nurture key client relationships, and play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to contact for customer order processing, freight coordination, and client communication—while also managing internal processes and supervising the Customer Service Administrator. You’ll work closely with the CEO and Plant Manager to align operations with client needs and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and orders
Enter and manage customer orders daily; provide order confirmations and updates
Communicate delivery timelines and coordinate with production on order prioritization
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
Support new customer acquisition efforts in line with company strategy
Update production schedules in collaboration with the Plant Manager
Maintain accurate and timely records of open orders and delivery statuses
Ensure proactive communication with customers on order fulfillment
Arrange efficient and cost-effective freight and shipping for LTL and truckload shipments
Negotiate rates with carriers and brokers
Reconcile freight bills with accounting
Manage billing, invoicing, and customer credits
Maintain customer files and records according to internal standards
Conduct market research to support new business development
Complete and verify customer credit applications
Requirements include but not limited to:
High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in communication a plus
3 or more years of experience in customer service and sales
Knowledge of freight and transportation logistics preferred
Experience with Business Central applications preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel domestically 3–5 times per year
Ability to work onsite
Compensation:
Base annual salary $80,000
Bonus opportunity
