Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Position Summary:
Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for accounts Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support storeroom operations at a customer site. This role involves a mix of procurement, customer service, and administrative support to ensure accurate and timely sourcing of stock and non-stock materials. The ideal candidate is professional, highly organized, and comfortable interacting with both customers and vendors via phone, email, and in-person. This is a temp to hire opportunity in Hartford, Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform procurement activities to fulfill customer requirements for materials and supplies.
Review and approve inventory forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
Place and manage purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and resolve product quality/timeliness issues.
Handle invoice resolution and accounts payable nonconformance.
Coordinate vendor returns, replacements, and inventory liquidation as needed.
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and customer interactions.
Produce customer Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurement data.
Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety policies.
Maintain a clean, professional work area aligned with LEAN practices.
Qualifications:
Client-specific background screening required
High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
1+ years of procurement or purchasing experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Outlook) and ERP systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Must be comfortable with frequent email, phone, and in-person interactions
Steel toe shoes required
Dress code: Jeans or long pants with a collared shirt or blouse
Professionalism and reliability are essential
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work is on-site in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Exposure to elements such as dirt, heat, cold, etc.
Safety gear required (steel toe shoes, etc.)
Frequent computer use and repetitive keyboarding
May occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs
Regular communication via phone, email, and face-to-face

Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
