Position Summary:

Adecco Staffing is actively seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diamond Turning Operator to join our client’s advanced manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in producing ultra-precise optical and metal components using state-of-the-art diamond turning machines. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with CNC equipment, diamond turning lathes, and a deep understanding of optical metrology and mechanical inspection techniques.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate diamond turning and precision grinding machines to fabricate optical surfaces on metals and crystals.

  • Interpret and modify CNC programs to meet tight optical and geometric tolerances.

  • Perform surface inspections using interferometers, profilometers, and other high-precision metrology tools.

  • Work from complex optical and mechanical engineering drawings to meet specification requirements.

  • Utilize traditional inspection tools (micrometers, height gauges, Vernier calipers, microscopes) for in-process and final part verification.

  • Follow standardized work instructions, including detailed process documentation for diamond turning operations.

  • Maintain detailed records of production runs, quality checks, and machine maintenance logs.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following company safety procedures and protocols.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating diamond turning machines (e.g., Precitech, Moore Nanotech, or similar).

  • Proficiency in CNC programming and modification, particularly in ultra-precision machining environments.

  • Strong familiarity with optical metrology techniques and equipment.

  • Ability to interpret optical and mechanical blueprints and technical documentation.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.



Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
