Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dock Worker/Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely unloading and loading trucks, managing warehouse inventory, and handling materials using forklifts. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations in our warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading and Loading Trucks: Safely unload incoming shipments and load outgoing shipments as per daily requirements.

  • Material Handling: Transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring they are placed in the correct storage areas or delivered to the appropriate departments.

  • Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts (and other warehouse equipment) to move materials in and out of storage areas and assist with loading/unloading shipments.

  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by ensuring materials are properly tracked, counted, and stored according to company protocols.

  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents.

  • Product Organization: Maintain organized storage of materials and supplies for easy access, minimizing downtime and inefficiency.

  • Documentation: Ensure proper records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including product counts, types, and any damages.

  • General Warehouse Support: Assist in other warehouse duties as required, including packing, sorting, and inventory checks.

Requirements:

  • Forklift Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling role is preferred.

  • Attention to Detail: Must be able to accurately track shipments and materials and ensure all goods are properly handled.

  • Safety Minded: A strong focus on safety and adherence to safety procedures.

  • Communication Skills: Basic verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team-Oriented: Ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience using material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.




Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
