Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Travel: Up to 20%

A leading global manufacturer and distributor is seeking a passionate and driven Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to oversee safety operations at our Moreno Valley Operations Center and support our nearby distribution center. This role is instrumental in driving our commitment to zero injuries, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EH&S programs aligned with corporate policies.

  • Deliver training and orientation for employees and managers on safety practices and regulatory compliance.

  • Spend significant time on the floor observing operations, identifying hazards, and supporting safe work practices.

  • Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), audits, and risk assessments to enhance workplace safety.

  • Oversee the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and ensure successful audits and certification maintenance.

  • Lead and facilitate the Safety Committee, including meeting facilitation and follow-ups on safety initiatives.

  • Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor data trends and develop strategies to mitigate safety risks and improve ergonomics.

  • Support the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives related to environmental and safety goals.

  • Collaborate with leadership to drive a culture of safety and accountability across all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field (equivalent certifications/training may be considered).

  • Minimum of 3 years of EH&S experience, ideally in a distribution or lean manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, state/federal EPA regulations, and ISO 14001/45001 standards.

  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, training delivery, and ergonomic program development.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software systems.

  • Ability to build relationships across functions and influence safety culture.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move comfortably in a warehouse environment.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
