An Emergency Response Clinical Manager position in Cornwall, NY is now available through Adecco  Healthcare and Life Science. In this role, you will work directly in partnership with team as a team of first responders who correspond to substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders related emergency calls to support of individuals in pre-crisis or crisis and their circle to support.

 

Contract type:  Direct-hire

Work hours:  Saturday-Wednesday from 10:00am-6:00pm

Start date:  July or August 2025

Annual salary: $65,000-68,000/year – depending on your level of experience  

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Remain on scene as the situation warrants with peer team member to provide support and connection.

Help families and individuals: understand the progression of addiction empower family members navigate insurance barriers and treatment systems.

Coordinate referrals to the Orange County Crisis Call Center for ongoing resources, services, and peer supports.

Coordinate referrals to Orange County Crisis Call Center for Mobile Response Team as warranted by the situation.

Attend and actively participate in all meetings and training sessions provided by Independent Living, Inc. and specific to the job responsibilities of the position.

Provide education and training about harm reduction strategies to the people residing with or supporting the individual experiencing the emergency,

Maintain a current and working knowledge of community resources available for individuals wishing to engage in additional treatment or services.

Educate individuals, families, and community resources about challenges, options, and resources with regard to persons with disabilities.

Assist individuals in accessing these services and treatments.

Engage in individual advocacy by assisting individuals with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders in protecting and promoting their rights, resolving complaints, accessing services and navigating community supports of their choice.

Complete all reporting and record keeping as required including statistical reports by specified due dates.

Attend and actively participate in all meetings and training sessions provided by Independent Living, Inc. as well as those specific to substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders, transition and diversion. Qualifications:

Must be a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) this includes Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW); Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Licensed Creative Arts Therapists; Licensed Occupational Therapist; or Registered Nurse.

Lived experience with substance use recovery either personally or through a family member or friend who has gone through recovery and be comfortable with self-disclosure as needed, a plus.

Must have a working knowledge of the recovery process and be willing to promote multi-pathways to recovery.

Minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience, required.

Must complete approved advocacy training programs within the first six (6) months of employment.

Strong data entry and computer software skills.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

Must have good time management skills and be self-directing, especially if there is any downtime.

Must possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

Bilingual English/Spanish, strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate must be able to get in and out of vehicles, including ambulances throughout the shift. Must be able to remain in a stationary (sitting, standing or kneeling) position while providing support services and required post call reporting. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical and administrative requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
