Summary

The Engineer II will take ownership and/or support technical engineering projects related to water and waste systems, airstairs, and components. Using sound engineering principles, this engineer will work to ensure robust, airworthy designs are attained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for engineering design and compliance.
  • Able to work independently to support engineering efforts.
  • Creates and updates project schedule.
  • Provides input to programs and projects.
  • Responsible for project review milestones.
  • Takes responsibility (technical and project management) small/medium projects with support from management and/or higher level engineers.
  • Process engineering changes in the development of water and waste systems, airstairs, and equipment
  • Utilizes sound technical problem solving to support ongoing projects with support from higher level engineers
  • May perform research and testing for new development
  • Bill of material and configuration creation and revision
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause correction actions
  • Documents findings and trade studies
  • Understands and follows company Procedures and Policies related to product development
  • Other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Experience  -

  • 1-5 experience aerospace engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  •  

    Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to move around the office.

    Work Environment – The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

    Travel – Periodical travel is minimal and may be 3-5 days per quarter.
