Engineering Manager:
The Process Engineering Manager will oversee all technical aspects of our green sand molding operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality output while driving efficiency, innovation, and cost savings. This role is critical to enhancing foundry performance, product quality, and employee safety.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the process engineering team, providing technical guidance and professional development.

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes within the green sand foundry (molding, coremaking, melting, pouring, cooling, shakeout).

Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to enhance process reliability and product integrity.

Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.

Specify and implement tooling, equipment upgrades, and automation solutions.

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Evaluate and test new materials, technologies, and methods for improving process control and casting quality.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.

7+ years of process engineering experience in a foundry environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Deep expertise in green sand molding processes (ferrous and/or non-ferrous).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with SPC, DOE, and FMEA.

Familiarity with foundry simulation software, CAD, and ERP systems.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills

Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.

Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Knowledge of casting defects and metallurgical troubleshooting.
Pay range for this position: $110,000-$120k. Full Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance. Plus 401k match.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
