My client, a very successful multi-site resort, restaurant, spa company located in NY is seeking a full-time permanent Executive Chef to join their growing culinary team. If interested, please APPLY for this exciting opportunity!
Position: Executive Chef
Location: Long Island, New York
Responsibilities
Set and manage weekly staff schedule.
Responsible for overseeing food production and service.
Creating special menus for holidays, events and special occasions.
Training the staff members on waste management, sanitation, recipe adherence and portion control.
Assisting with hiring needs for the kitchen.
Gathers together the daily/weekly food orders for the Chef.
Executes all specials for the weekend's services.
Ensures walk- in freezer and cooler are properly organized, cleaned, dated and rotate food.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
2-3 years of experience with a background/ knowledge in Italian cuisine is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast paced busy environment.
Good leadership, organizational and excellent communication skills are a MUST.
Must be detail oriented and be open to constructive feedback.
Be creative to develop new items on the menu.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
