Position Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled and results-driven Failure Analysis Engineering Manager to lead our Failure Analysis (FA) team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is critical to identifying root causes of production failures, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), driving continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing the organization’s technical problem-solving capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with hands-on engineering experience in electronics failure analysis and production support.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Test and Failure Analysis Engineers, ensuring high team performance and alignment with company objectives.

Conduct detailed root cause analyses of production failures using industry-standard diagnostic tools and methodologies to resolve top issues across Process, Material, and Test areas.

Oversee bone pile reduction programs by implementing corrective actions, monitoring metrics, and driving production efficiency improvements.

Elevate technical capabilities within the FA team through structured training, tool enhancements, and best practice sharing.

Provide critical engineering support during New Product Introduction (NPI) pilot builds, identifying risks and ensuring product readiness for volume production.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering to support yield improvements and establish long-term corrective actions.

Translate failure analysis insights into process and procedural improvements; update SOPs and implement preventive strategies to avoid recurrence.

Develop and deliver clear, detailed technical reports to stakeholders summarizing root cause, corrective actions, and continuous improvement recommendations.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with external laboratories and equipment vendors to extend analytical capabilities.

Apply statistical analysis and advanced failure detection techniques to lead quality improvement initiatives.

Manage FA lab operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and overall lab readiness.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Proven expertise in failure analysis methodologies, electrical diagnostics, and root cause investigation in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or team management role within engineering or failure analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to convey technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with NPI and working in cross-functional teams to solve complex production issues.

Familiarity with statistical tools, reliability testing, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, FMEA, DOE, SPC).
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
