FIRE ALARM FIELD TECHNICIAN II (INTERMEDIATE) FOR THE DC METRO / MARYLAND / VIRGINIA AREAS
Looking for your next step in the fire alarm industry? Join our growing team as a FIRE ALARM FIELD TECHNICIAN (Level 2) and take on advanced inspection, repair, and troubleshooting work that helps keep buildings and people safe every day.
Day Shift (roughly 7am – 4pm)
What You’ll Do:
Perform detailed inspections and advanced testing of fire alarm systems (including VESDA)
Troubleshoot and repair problems with elevators, HVAC shutdowns, smoke control, and more
Help install and upgrade top fire alarm brands (Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, etc.)
Work with and guide junior techs while building your own leadership skills – AND - Work with senior techs to learn new skills and get promoted from within
Communicate clearly with customers and team members
Write clear reports, respond to service calls, and stay on top of safety rules
Travel to job sites near your home - across VA, DC, and MD
What You’ll Need:
High school diploma and 5+ years of experience OR tech degree and 3+ years
NICET Level II certification (or pass it within 90 days – we’ll help!)
Must pass background check and drug screen
Must have a valid driver's license and transportation
Comfortable with physical work, heights, and tools
Strong attention to detail and a desire to keep learning
