Adecco is looking for experienced metal grinders for a client site in Dublin Ohio. 1st shift open with great hours Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm pay starting at $18/hr
Must have some grinding experience to be considered.
A metal grinder, also known as a machine operator or grinder operator, uses grinding machines to shape metal parts and finish products to meet design specifications:
Set up: Prepare the grinding machines for use
Select tools: Choose the right cutting tools to achieve the desired cuts
Grind: Remove excess material to smooth and shape the metal parts
Inspect: Check the finished pieces for defects, sharp edges, and scratches
Remove: Take out defective pieces
Follow: Obey blueprints, quality tolerance standards, company policies, and safety procedures
Metal grinders may also use machinery to create grooves or other contours on metal objects. They should be proficient with standard industry tools and machinery, such as small swing grinders and small hand grinders.
Metal grinders typically work in an industrial setting and may be exposed to fumes, glare, and radiation. The job may also require standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and occasionally climbing, balancing, or crawling. Some personal traits that may be helpful for this job include attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to do the same task repeatedly without losing focus.
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
