We are seeking reliable, motivated individuals to join our team as Herbicide Spray Technicians. This position focuses on the application of herbicides to manage vegetation across various environments. A Registered Pesticide Technician License is required. The role offers clear advancement opportunities, including crew leadership, drone-based application work, and account management.
Key Responsibilities:

Apply herbicides using boom trucks, backpack sprayers, and other application equipment

Identify vegetation types and assess appropriate herbicide treatments

Safely mix and apply herbicide solutions according to legal and environmental regulations

Maintain detailed and accurate application logs as required by law

Operate and maintain spray equipment and vehicles

Work outdoors in diverse environments and weather conditions

Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Interact professionally with clients, teammates, and supervisors

Assist with site inspections and reporting
Certification & Career Path Options:
Standard Spray Role:
Basic – Pesticide Registered Technician Certification
Advanced – ROW (Category 6) Commercial Applicator License
ISA Certified Arborist (Optional, for top-level advancement)

Requires a Commercial Applicator License and passing a rigorous proctored exam

Typically oversees multiple crews and acts as an account manager
Drone Division (Emerging Role):
Additional Qualifications (Bonus Skills):

FAA Part 107 Certification + Aerial Commercial Applicator License

Often added to a ROW (Category 6) license

Enables aerial herbicide application using drones

High demand role with potential for national travel and rapid advancement

A valid Registered Pesticide Technician License
Interest or experience in vegetation control, landscaping, agriculture, or roadside maintenance
Strong work ethic and attention to safety protocols
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and perform physical tasks
Good communication and organizational skills
Willingness to pursue higher licensure and grow with the company
Competitive hourly wage or salary based on license and experience
Paid training and certification support

Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
