As a Human Resources Manager for the Syracuse, NY area, you will have proven leadership, and communication skills (in both small and large groups), and the ability to influence, lead and drive change in a complex manufacturing environment. You must also have a min. of 3+ years of UNION experience. This is NOT a remote role and relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Manages Employee Relations for the Company Corporate office including Recruiting, Employee Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management, and Employee Surveys, coordinating with the Parent company as needed.
  • Manages the Commercial Career Program to develop a pipeline for talent into the organization.
  • Responsible for the company Affirmative Action Plan and annual EEO-1 and VETS100 filing.
  • Implements and interprets the employee handbook policies and HR procedures for Corporate employees; facilitate best practice and standardization across sites
  • Develops and implements the Human Resources Plan to support Company Growth Strategies.
  • Maintains, trains, and provides guidance to managers on Company’s HR web applications including recruiting, onboarding, and training.
  • Acts as an Advisor to the Employee Activities Committee.

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

     

  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee relations; the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management.
  • Possess thorough knowledge in the specific areas of merit and job review, experience with Hay helpful.
  • Sound working knowledge of statistical concepts, methods, and data collection procedures. Must be able to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
  • Able to prepare comprehensive reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct the work of co-workers and vendors engaged in various professional, technical, and clerical functions.
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Knowledgeable of laws and regulations relating to Worker’s Compensation insurance and safety administration.

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

     

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related field.
  • 6+ years experience in a management role in Human resources.
  • Experience with web-based HR solutions, including recruiting and onboarding.
  • 5+years experience in recruiting professional and senior-level positions
