REMOTE IN NY, SAN FRANCISCO, SEATTLE, CHICAGO, PHOENIX OR DALLAS

Pay rate: $44.72/hr

 

We’re looking for a HR Specialist to provide support to our US and Canada employee and manager population in providing workplace accommodations.

 

This role will be the primary internal contact for employees throughout the interactive process, and liaise with our vendors, Benefits, and other key stakeholders to provide quality end to end accommodations case management in an employee-friendly, consistent, and compliant manner. In addition, you will be responsible for executing complex projects.

Outstanding communication skills, time management, attention to detail, are key attributes in this role.

 

What You'll Do:

- Serve as a subject matter expert on the accommodations process as well as state and federal/country disability laws, inclusive of responding to general inquiries.

- Provide support and education to employees and leaders in the business on medical and religious accommodations, including returning to work, inclusive of responding to general inquiries from the business and HR.

- Partner with cross functional teams on process improvements, projects, and activities to maintain and enhance compliance

- Partner with Facilities and IT to coordinate purchasing and providing employees with modifying equipment, devices or materials for accommodating employee needs.

 

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of professional, related experience as a HR generalist/advisor, business partner or project/program manager in the human resources/benefits discipline

- Solid knowledge of US and/or Canadian employment practices, including ADA, FMLA, statutory leaves and disability policies and laws

- Experience with coaching line managers & peers on HR, benefits, and accommodation processes and supporting them in strengthening their leadership skills

- Proven capability of providing employee and manager HR consultations

- Experience with driving positive solutions to advanced employee complaints and discrimination charges

- Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve sophisticated and sensitive HR issues/problems

- Proven effective partner management and collaboration with other teams to deliver a consistent employee experience

- Excellent verbal written communication skills; and strong project management expertise

 

Preferred

- Workday experience and/or experience using JIRA or ServiceNow is a plus

- PHR and/or CPDM certification

-Workday experience using JIRA or service now is a plus

- Knowledge of Canadian employment practices and law

 

 

 


Pay Details: $44.72 per hour
