Technical & Mechanical Skills:
- Machine Operation: Setup, start, monitor, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
- Process Control: Adjust temperature, pressure, and timing for quality molded parts.
- Basic Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and minor repairs to prevent downtime.
- Mold Changes & Setup: Install, secure, and remove molds for different production runs.
- Material Knowledge: Understand various plastics (thermoplastics, thermosets) and their behavior under heat and pressure.
Quality & Inspection Skills:
- Conduct quality checks to ensure molded parts meet specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Identify and troubleshoot defects (flash, sink marks, short shots).
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow OSHA regulations and proper hazardous material handling.
- Lockout/tagout (LOTO) training and safe high-pressure machinery operation.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail to catch defects early.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and fix production issues.
- Teamwork and communication with supervisors, QC, and maintenance teams.
- Time management to ensure smooth production flow.
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
- 4-6 years in a manufacturing or plastics production environment.
- Training in Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) principles.
- RJG Master Molder or similar injection molding processing certification.
2nd shift: Medical, Dental and Vision benefits offered with 401K
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
