Overview:
The International Logistics and Traffic Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end shipment process—from vendors to the manufacturing plant and ultimately to the customer. This role requires coordination of international and domestic shipments (drayage, intermodal, air, rail, and truck), effective communication with shippers, carriers, and customers, and hands-on oversight to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily shipments, selecting appropriate transportation modes (LTL, FTL, Rail, Air, and International) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Optimize logistics and transportation procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shippers, carriers, and customers; build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Manage logistics operations from order inception to final delivery, proactively resolving issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping and delivery; identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Review and validate shipping documentation for accuracy; correct errors as necessary.
  • Oversee shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with international regulations.
  • Lead and support logistics process improvements, developing SOPs and best practices.
  • Train team members on logistics procedures, equipment use, and safe handling of materials.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 7–8 years of experience in logistics or traffic management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, including international shipments and hazardous materials handling.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of transportation safety and compliance standards.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
