We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk in the Kansas City, MO area.. In this clerical role, the Inventory Clerk will be responsible for tracking, recording, and maintaining inventory levels of products and materials in the warehouse. This includes updating inventory records, assisting with stock audits, and ensuring accurate and efficient stock management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Accurately track and record the receipt, storage, and distribution of products and raw materials in the warehouse. Ensure inventory is properly labeled and stored according to company standards and safety protocols.

  • Inventory Reconciliation: Assist in performing regular inventory counts and audits, reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system records. Investigate and resolve any variances in inventory counts.

  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using computerized systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other inventory management systems). Ensure that all inventory transactions are entered correctly and promptly.

  • Cycle Counting & Auditing: Participate in regular cycle counts and periodic full physical inventories. Assist in reconciling any discrepancies found during audits and work to improve inventory accuracy.

  • Inventory Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and order status. Communicate inventory discrepancies or low stock levels to the inventory manager or other relevant parties in a timely manner.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training or certification in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • At least 1-2 years of clerical experience, preferably in inventory, logistics, or warehouse management, ideally in the manufacturing industry.

    • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    • Ability to work with computerized inventory management systems and generate reports.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when recording inventory data and performing physical inventory counts.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, warehouse personnel, and other departments. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or inventory issues independently, using logical thinking and available resources.



Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
