Job Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's Engineering team in San Jose, CA. This role plays a key part in designing and improving mechanical components and systems used in high-tech manufacturing environments. Ideal candidates will have exposure to printed circuit board (PCB) processes and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) lines, either through work experience, internships, or academic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Support customer requirements for new project development
Create engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using 3D models and SAP
Review and submit Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
Provide technical support on blueprints, design feedback, and product development inquiries
Design or redesign mechanical devices and components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and quality
Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (M.S./M.B.A is a plus)
1+ year of relevant engineering experience
Familiarity with PCB and SMT processes is strongly preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Pro-E
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design principles
Excellent analytical, communication, and team collaboration skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
English proficiency required; Mandarin is a plus

Pay Details: $29.00 to $32.00 per hour
