We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Laser Tracker Quality Inspector for our client, specializing in aerospace and automotive tooling components. The ideal candidate will operate laser tracker equipment, including FARO systems, to conduct high-precision inspections, ensuring quality and compliance with stringent standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate FARO laser tracker equipment for dimensional inspections and quality checks of tooling components.
  • Utilize PolyWorks software for data analysis, reporting, and managing inspection results.
  • Monitor work to ensure accuracy and apply feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify tolerances and specifications.
  • Conduct mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections using advanced laser tracking technology.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and quality control activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards.
  • Organize work assignments to optimize efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control and inspection, ideally in aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • Proven experience with FARO laser tracker equipment and PolyWorks software.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials and industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and identifying discrepancies.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively conveying technical information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Quality Inspector or relevant professional certification.
  • Experience with computer-aided inspection software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
