We are seeking a Licensed Social Worker to join our team as a School Social Worker/Site Manager in the Indianapolis, IN area! You will be responsible for connecting students to a programs and services to address student needs, collaboration with school staff, and engaging families to support the educational emotional and personal development of children.

 

Quick Insight:

- Connect students to a range of prevention, early intervention and intensive services programs that address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of each student.

-Develop and enhance community partnerships with varied community agencies to meet the identified needs of students, families, and the school.

-Collaborating with school staff, including classroom teachers, to implement the City Connects model.

-Engaging families and caregivers to understand and support the education of children and the ways in which academic outcomes are enhanced by serving the social / emotional and personal development needs of the child.

- Working with community partners, to arrange the provision of services to address out of school factors as part of the ongoing school student support team.

-Collecting data on the implementation of the model and the delivery of services.

- Evidence of culturally competent practices. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff, a diverse student body and families, as well as a team of professions ab both the school and the university.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in School Counseling or Social Work (or another human services field)

- Experience working in a school environment

- Experience in case management and related strong organizational skills

- Evidence of culturally competent practices

- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff, a diverse student body and families, as well as a team of professionals at both the school and the university.
