Calling All Plasma Pioneers: LPN Extraordinaire Needed in Des Moines!

Greetings, healthcare heroes! I'm Anthony, your friendly neighborhood talent scout from Adecco Healthcare, and I've got an opportunity that'll make your nursing cap spin!

We're on a mission to find a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with nerves of steel and veins of gold to join our client's elite plasma team in the heart of Des Moines (zip code 50320, for those who navigate by numbers).

The Lowdown:

  • Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 6am-7pm; Saturday 9am-5pm; Sunday 7am-3pm (Mondays off for superhero recovery)
  • Compensation: $27-$29/hour (because saving lives shouldn't mean living on corn chips)

What You'll Need in Your Nursing Utility Belt:
  • An unencumbered LPN license in Iowa (shinier than the golden dome of the State Capitol)
  • BLS certification (because, well, having the skill to save lives? Yeah, it's kind of a major deal)
  • Plasma knowledge (a plus, but we won't ask you to recite its atomic structure)
  • Venipuncture skills that would impress even the most needle-shy vampire

The Perks (Because Even Superheroes Need Benefits):
  • Health plans that'll make your own body jealous
  • 401(K) with company match (for your retirement yacht on Lake Red Rock)
  • PTO galore (for those impromptu trips to the Field of Dreams)
  • Life, disability, and educational benefits (because we believe in lifelong learning and living)

Your Mission Responsibilities, Should You Choose to Accept It:
  • Determine with donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
  • Be the calm in the storm and evaluate during donor reactions which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Center Physician like Batman and Robin (minus the costumes) or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
  • Champion the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs (be the superhero Iowa deserves).
  • Master the art of employee incident management (think less "ER drama" and more "efficient problem-solving")
  • Potentially become a Pandemic Coordinator (because every team needs a Captain America) when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

If you're ready to trade your scrubs for a plasma pioneer uniform and join a team more vital than the Iowa State Fair, then what are you waiting for? Apply now or send your resume to anthony.izzi@adeccona.com.

Let's make Des Moines the plasma powerhouse of the Midwest! Remember, in this role, you're not just drawing blood – you're drawing hope. Join us in this life-changing mission!
