Adecco Staffing is working with a local manufacturing company in Laconia, NH. We are hiring Grind Operators on 2nd shift. These positions are full time, DIRECT HIRE positions.
Position: Grind Operator
Schedule/Shifts:
2nd Monday-Thursday 3:30pm – 2am (OT may be required)
Pay Rate:
2nd shift: $23.01/hr
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Set up a minimum of one machine in the grinding department
- Follow established procedures, verbal instructions, and information obtained from set-up cards and layout sheets
- In process readings to ensure adherence to tolerance
- Set up machinery or equipment to perform job tasks, including adding or removing parts, to create the correct tool to manufacture the parts in accordance with the Shop Order.
- Use micrometers, verniers, optical comparator, microscope, and a variety of fixed and adjustable gauges to set-up equipment and check work.
- Diagnose and correct operating difficulties, maintain required records, detect and report unusual conditions to assigned leader.
- Keep work area clean and orderly, observing all safety rules and regulations, and conforming to OSHA regulations.
- Move materials, parts, and containers, as required, to complete job duties
Previous Applicable Skills & Experience
- Read and understand product blueprint/specification sheets
- Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures
- Maintain established production levels and quality standards
- Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship.
- Maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspection.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or related experience
- Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift up to 40 lbs
- Sit or stand for long periods of time
- Hand and eye coordination
