Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related issues in our manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing of machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures. Effectively perform repairs to minimize production disruptions.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring that all components are properly aligned and functioning according to specifications.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, ensuring all repairs and maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards. Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, repairs, and parts inventory. Update maintenance logs as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production and operations teams to understand maintenance needs, prioritize tasks, and schedule downtime for repairs without affecting production schedules.
  • Parts & Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance parts and materials. Order replacement parts and supplies as needed, ensuring adequate stock is maintained.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform routine repairs and maintenance on the facility infrastructure, such as lighting, HVAC systems, and plumbing, to ensure a functional and safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance practices and equipment performance, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies in a timely manner to minimize production downtime and impact on operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Experience with troubleshooting, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electronics.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety standards, protocols, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, etc.) in a manufacturing setting.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to document maintenance activities and communicate with team members.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [X] pounds), work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and operate maintenance equipment.


Pay Details: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
