Job Summary
We are seeking a Material Coordinator to support our shipping, receiving, and material handling functions. This role is vital in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in warehouse operations, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
M-Fri 8am-5pm.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare products, spare parts, and returned items for shipment using proper packaging, crating, and labeling techniques.
Conduct quality checks on incoming materials for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Operate packing machinery and equipment to protect items during shipment.
Load and unload products to and from shipping vehicles and designated storage areas.
Retrieve and stage materials based on packing slips and production schedules.
Maintain inventory records and manage stock levels using ERP systems.
Monitor shipping supply inventory and ensure materials are properly stocked.
Ensure all shipments comply with export regulations and internal procedures.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve material issues.
Investigate and perform root cause analysis on failed components and assist in corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or kitting in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Valid Driver’s License.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using UPS and FedEx systems for outbound shipments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and supply chain principles.
Physical Demands
This role requires standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds, and regular use of hands and arms. Visual requirements include close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
