Materials Manager – Oxford AL - $80,000 - $92,000 base salary – Permanent Position – Excellent Benefits
Must have:
5+ years’ experience in the automotive industry.
Excellent knowledge of ERP systems preferably Trans4M
5 years Logistics Management Experience
Great leadership and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
Accountable for coordinating and managing the activities of the Materials department including customer service, purchasing, scheduling and shipping/receiving functions
Maintain 100% delivery rating to our customers including professional & courteous customer service
Maintain 99% inventory accuracy through a regular cycle count program
Accurate production scheduling ensuring achievement of 100% Customer Delivery Performance
Procure raw material in a timely fashion to avoid production downtime
Management of off-site warehouses
Prepare for and execute physical inventories
Communicate engineering change information to all affected personnel to ensure quality shipments
Assist Sales Department with quoting process
Manage theTrans4M MRP system
Logistics management
Ensure competitive transportation costs
Submit cost reduction initiatives
Create and maintain a high level of morale and enthusiasm for Kobay Enstel Limited and its products
Encourage the development of lasting customer service relationship.
Support customer relationship through effective communication.
Provide coaching and mentoring to the Materials Department.
Conduct Performance Appraisals for direct reports
Strong communication skills, ability to develop and present strong presentations including communication at monthly associate meetings
Develop strategic performance metrics and targets that are consistent with company goals
Ensure that all associates comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Ensure the effectiveness of employees through strategic hiring, assignment of duties, discipline, and dismissal
Oversee associates to ensure work is being performed according to established standards
Plan the department's workload and flow
Translate strategic goals into practical actions
Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations
Provide informal feedback and coaching to staff on an ongoing basis
Ensure that safe work practices are being followed
Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment
Ensure employees have clear goals and are aware of expectations
Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly
Oversee compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $92,000.00 per year
