Position Location: 
- Omaha, NE (float to 3 different clinics)

Pay: 
- $21-$24 per hour

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA)-Market Float plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Market's Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and ensuring efficient patient care delivery. MAs collaborate closely with the market care teams to welcome and prepare new members of the clinic. They are expected to assist in evaluating patients' health conditions, including conducting routine diagnostic tests during appointments. The MA Market Float may be required to travel to regional centers at short notice.

Job Duties:
- Engage in patient intake, such as vital signs, interviews, medical history, and routine screenings to ensure patients are well-informed and all inquiries addressed.
- Listen attentively to patients during appointments, reporting any changing needs or conditions to Primary Care Physicians (PCP), specialists, or other clinical staff.
- Prioritize patient experience by focusing on tasks such as processing patient phone messages, returning calls, routing calls to appropriate team members, and relaying essential information to physicians.
- Administer first aid tasks such as changing dressings, applying bandages, removing sutures, and utilizing CPR skills under physician supervision.
- Offer health coaching to a specific group of patients to encourage healthy lifestyle choices, conducting follow-up calls with coached patients on a weekly basis.
- Ability to report to other regional centers at short notice as needed, with travel mileage reimbursement provided for additional travel beyond the standard commute to the home center. The schedule is usually provided with 1 week's notice, however, will need to help cover for last-minute callouts.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Minimum 6+ months of phlebotomy experience.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare vocational training.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is required.
- Experience with EMR systems like EClinicalWorks preferred.
- Experience with geriatric patients desired.
