Adecco Medical is seeking a dedicated and passionate Medical Assistant to join our client's team in Mesa, AZ
Pay: $18.00-$23.00/hr
**Job Summary:**
As a Medical Assistant, you will support healthcare professionals by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. Your role will involve direct patient interaction, maintaining medical records, and assisting in the overall efficiency of the healthcare facility.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Maintain and update patient records in the EMR system
- Provide patient education and support
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and administering injections
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., EClinicalWorks)
- BLS certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and seniorities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High degree of emotional intelligence and integrity
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working with geriatric patients
