Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a top client in the healthcare industry in recruiting for a Medical Assistant in Bay area of CA. This position is a full-time contract opportunity, lasting 3-6 months, with the possibility to be extended or converted.
The Medical Assistant position requires candidates to assist clinic providers to ensure efficient patient flow and maintain quality care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and/or supervising nurse practitioner or physician.
Responsibilities:
Front/back office duties
Carry out clinician orders and performs/assists with patient care procedures and treatments.
Performs technical and clerical tasks, and patient care tasks
Taking patients' vitals, medical history
Use Epic EMR
Education/Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Medical Assistant certificate and/or diploma
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
Payrate $27-$35 BOE
