A Medical Benefits Coordinator/Patient Scheduler position in Saint Peters, Missouri is now available through Adecco Medical and Science.  In this role, you will be responsible for being a liaison between patients and their insurance company, coordinating benefits, and obtaining prior authorizations from insurance carriers. This position also schedules surgical procedures, both from a scheduling standpoint with the surgery center and with insurance companies from a prior authorization and benefits standpoint. In addition, you will lend support to other areas of the clinic. This may include rooming patients from time to time, delivering messages to providers, and maintaining the operations of the front facing portion of the practice.

 

The pay rate for this position is $22.00/hr.  Please note that this a temp-hire position starting in July 2024.  Shift: Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Acting as the face of the company when patients show up by greeting every person

with a smile and pleasant attitude.

AA+ Customer Service Skills are an expectation.

Maintaining strict adherence to concepts and requirements of HIPAA.

Working with patients and providers to ensure insurance and scheduling forms are

properly completed.

Updating and coordinating patient demographic and insurance information regularly.

Interfacing with carriers to obtain benefit information and coverage amounts.

Obtaining prior authorizations from insurance carriers by processing and sending

individual patient medical records.

Explaining insurance benefits to patients and helping them understand the intricate

process of fertility insurance coverage.

Processing bills and helping patients if they have questions about their charges.

Organizing files for billing, customer and client records, etc.

Properly documenting and tracking all patient-related progress with claims.

Directing visitors within the office.

Responding to all customer inquiries in a polite and timely manner.

Receive, track, and direct deliveries.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-year experience working as a Benefits Coordinator and/or Scheduler in a medical office setting.

Expert in Microsoft Office 365.

Expert in office machines, including fax, copier, document server, and VoIP phone systems.

Moderate experience with EMR systems.



Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
