This team specializes in the efficient and effective plugging and abandonment of wells, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of compliance and safety. We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our dynamic team and contribute to sustainable energy practices.

Job Summary

The Plugging and Abandonment Technician plays a critical role in our well decommissioning projects. This position involves hands-on work to safely and effectively plug and abandon wells, restore sites, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Well Preparation and Assessment

  • Assist in the review of well history and site assessments.
  • Help develop and implement detailed plugging and abandonment plans.

• Plugging Operations

  • Participate in the removal of wellhead and surface equipment.
  • Pour briquettes down hole to plug as directed.
  • Conduct integrity tests on plugs to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Site Restoration

  • Aid in cutting and removing casing strings.
  • Assist in restoring well sites to their original condition.
  • Ensure all activities are documented and reported accurately.

• Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Drilling Supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in well plugging and abandonment or related fields is preferred.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with well plugging techniques.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HSE, API standards) are an advantage.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Clean Driving Record & Ability to Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen.

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
