PAINT PREP TECHNICIAN (TRUCKS) NEEDED IMMEDIATELY

(2nd Shift: 2pm – 10:30pm OR 3rd Shift: 10pm - 6:30 am) 
in Salem, VA

Seeking PAINT PREP TECHNICIANS for a rapidly growing/busy facility in Salem, VA. You will be responsible for completing paint and body prep on OEM modified heavy-duty trucks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities as a Paint Prep Technician (not limited to):

  • Inspect panels to be painted for body repair, prepping and/or buffing defect.

  • Preparing parts and panels for trucks. Buffing out imperfections, touch up painting on panels and parts.

  • Preparing tape around areas that are not being painted.

  • Great attention to detail skills.  Fast-paced, mechanical work environment.

  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to others.

REQUIREMENTS AND PAINT TECHNICIAN JOB DUTIES:
 

  • At least 2+ years’ experience.

  • Mechanical skills are a huge plus (but not required).

  • Ability to work full time and Authorized to work in the United States is required.

SCHEDULE
Positions are available Monday – Friday on either:

2nd Shift: 2pm – 10:30pm
OR
3rd Shift: 10pm - 6:30 am   

*Note: If hired, you would train for roughly 2 weeks on the day shift, before transitioning to the shift above which you were hired for.

SALARY/ BENEFITS/PTO/ BONUS AND ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
 

  • $24/hour to start

(Depending on shift and experience, a salary review possible after probationary new hire period. Multiple bonus opportunities all the time - and if placed in the Leadership Training (later) an immediate $2/hr raise)
