Calling All Desert Healers: Tucson's Plasma Oasis Needs Your Magic Touch!

Greetings, medical mavericks of the Sonoran! I'm Anthony, your career cactus from Adecco Healthcare, and I've got an opportunity hotter than a Tucson summer day!

We're on a quest to find an Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/EMT-P extraordinaire to become our Medical Support Specialist in the shimmering plasma paradise of Tucson, Arizona!

The Saguaro Saga:

  • Pay: $26.00-$28.00/hour
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 5x8s with potential for 4x10s (as flexible as a jumping cholla)

Your Desert Survival Kit Should Include:
  • Paramedic / EMT-P Certification (more essential than sunscreen in July)
  • BLS certification (because knowing how to save lives is hotter than a habanero)
  • Plasma knowledge and venipuncture skills are bonus points (but we won't ask you to wrangle rattlesnakes)

The Oasis of Benefits:
  • Health plans
  • 401(K) with company match (for your future Tucson Gem Show shopping spree)
  • PTO galore (for those impromptu trips to the Grand Canyon)
  • Life, disability, and scholarship programs (because we believe in lifelong learning and thriving)

Responsibilities:
  • Determine donor eligibility, ensuring compliance with informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews, meeting acceptance criteria, performing physical examinations, conducting blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
  • Assess donor reactions according to facility SOPs. Adhere to SOPs for medical emergencies, including implementing directives from the Center Physician and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
  • Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on communicating unacceptable findings to donors, and for addressing medical or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.
  • Support employee Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs as applicable.
  • Manage employee incidents, determining if further evaluation by occupational health/ER is necessary. Refer to EHS guidelines for handling employee incidents.
  • Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community as directed by EHS or Medical Affairs.

Your Mission in the Medical Frontier:

As our plasma pioneer, you'll be the chief rain-dancer of our life-saving oasis, navigating the healthcare landscape with the precision of a roadrunner and the resilience of a desert tortoise. You'll be saving lives one plasma donation at a time, all while enjoying a team atmosphere cooler than a monsoon breeze.

If you're ready to trade your ambulance for a plasma center and join a team more vital than water in the desert, then what are you waiting for? Apply now or send your resume faster than a tumbleweed in a dust devil to anthony.izzi@adeccona.com.

Let's make Tucson the plasma powerhouse of the Southwest! Remember, in this role, you're not just collecting plasma – you're cultivating life in the desert. Join us in this life-changing mission, where every day is a chance to make a difference, one donation at a time!

P.S. No need for a ten-gallon hat, but a heart as big as the Arizona sky is a must!
