Adecco is assisting one of the leading healthcare providers in Southern California in recruiting for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician in Highland, CA. This is a contract assignment through December 2025 and is contract to hire.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Phlebotomist to join a busy outpatient setting. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in blood collection and specimen handling and is confident working with both adult and pediatric patients. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, courteous care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform blood collection from adult and pediatric patients using vacutainer, syringe, butterfly, and capillary techniques (heel and fingerstick)
Label specimens accurately and ensure proper handling and processing
Instruct patients on urine and stool specimen collection procedures
Enter specimen data into the laboratory system and prepare samples for send-out testing
Maintain phlebotomy stations and manage supply inventory
Ensure patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times
Deliver prompt and professional customer service to patients, visitors, and medical staff
Attend required team meetings and collaborate effectively with lab and clinical teams
Requirements/Qualifications:
Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) license required
Current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association required
Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
Experience with specimen handling and knowledge of laboratory collection standards preferred.
Local travel required for training and occasional coverage at nearby sites within a 15-mile radius
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Details: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
