Are you a seasoned plating professional looking to step into a leadership role where your technical expertise and team-building skills can shine? We’re hiring a Plating Team Lead on behalf of our client, a reputable jewelry manufacturer in Attleboro, MA. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive quality, process efficiency, and safety within the plating department.
What You’ll Do:
Lead & Mentor a team of plating technicians—train new hires, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to daily operations and safety protocols.
Oversee Jewelry Plating Processes involving precious metals (e.g., gold, silver, copper, platinum), ensuring high-quality finishes and consistent results.
Maintain Equipment & Chemicals—monitor chemical concentrations, perform routine equipment maintenance, and troubleshoot plating issues to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure Safety & Compliance with all health, environmental, and OSHA regulations, including chemical handling and waste disposal standards.
Track and Report Metrics—document plating output, quality checks, chemical maintenance, and testing results (e.g., Hull Cell testing).
Contribute to Process Improvements that optimize workflow, reduce waste, and elevate product quality.
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of hands-on experience in jewelry or metal plating operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of electroplating processes and plating equipment maintenance.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production or equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
Familiarity with chemical safety standards, handling protocols, and environmental compliance.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in chemistry or industrial processes a plus.
