Responsibilities for a Plating Technician include but are not limited to:
Operate assigned equipment for metal finishing, including loading and unloading parts into baskets, racks, and barrels.
Perform various processing steps such as cleaning, etching, degreasing, heat treating, and plating parts, utilizing electric hoists and manual lifting.
Maintain cleanliness of tanks and work areas, monitor solution temperatures, and keep daily production logs.
Conduct physical inspections to ensure the quality of the product and troubleshoot simple to moderate problems as needed.
Candidates for Plating Technician must meet the following requirements to be considered:
Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms regularly, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly.
Proficiency in using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently.
Possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
A basic understanding of chemistry as it applies to the job, and the ability to solve problems.
