Principal Consulting Software Engineer

  • We need local candidate as this will start as an onsite role and then move to hybrid.
  • Wages: Based on Education and Experience: $80.00 - $95.00 per hour
  • Location: Bartlesville OK
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field and 12 to 16 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.

  • Basic Function: Software Engineering for Bartlesville OK

  • Development, introduction and application of software to respond to customer requirements and to cost-effectively provide a means of analyzing, producing, distributing and storing information. Plan, conduct or coordinate a wide range of highly complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations. Serve as consultant to senior management and major customers regarding advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems.
  • Manage or coordinate engineering projects of major significance to the company. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Typical duties/responsibilities for engineering may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establish schedules and resource requirements for major engineering projects. Conduct or direct and coordinate critical aspects of projects and serve as technical advisor to senior management. Determine most effective means of accomplishing objectives and coordinate related engineering activities. Develop and introduce actions designed to promote customer satisfaction. Plan, conduct, coordinate and develop recommendations regarding varied analytical studies such as application of advanced engineering concepts and processes. Analyze engineering and business aspects of proposed programs, develop proposals and coordinate associated activities.
  • Serve as technical consultant, advisor and spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters and exert considerable influence regarding focus and direction of engineering activities. Negotiate with customers, matters of considerable significance that may impact current and future business, and assist them to optimize their operations by such means as improving their costs, quality and processes.
  • Design and develop highly complex models or simulations of systems and conduct independent engineering studies encompassing sophisticated analytical techniques, novel and unconventional approaches. Analyze new proposals, requirements, specifications and products. Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology, anticipate market trends and customer requirements, and propose responsive actions. May serve as engineering or project manager, direct activities of other engineers and assist in their professional and technical development.

    Complexity of Tasks: Requires in-depth knowledge of a specific engineering discipline plus broad knowledge of multiple engineering fields to influence direction of engineering efforts, coordinate projects, adapt to changing technology, present proposals, and conceive and foster introduction of new concepts and approaches. Technical recommendations and decisions may have significant impact on the effectiveness and integrity of engineering efforts, and affect future business and customer relations. Requires ability to negotiate and influence decisions of senior Company managers and major customers.


    • Lead for taking architectural decisions on Embedded Products with evaluating technical and business tradeoffs
    • Manage the whole SW development life cycle (SDLC) of embedded software: Requirements engineering, design, implementation, test including final system testing and maintenance.
    • Oversee all stages of software development, ranging from feasibility studies and simulations to implementation and testing.
    • Lead/Collaborate well with R&D teams, to deliver the Product releases on time, with good quality.
    • Align with manager (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables.
    • Demonstrate sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools.
    • Providing expert assistance for projects and colleagues, acting as a mentor, and disseminating lessons learned
    • Keeping up to date with technologies, tools and methods and implementing initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction
    • Developing Intellectual Property to protect the broad technology area of Analytical Measurements
