The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Safely follow Ashland policies and procedures
Design and commission control systems by configuring/developing DCS systems
Ensures control software management is adequate and applied to achieve the site’s goals.
Develop HMI graphics that enable efficient technician response and knowledge of the process operation.
Provide control system input into projects and facility management of change requests.
Participates in evaluation of interlock and alarms management reviews.
Support project implementation FAT and SAT.
Participates with investigations of process control incidents and ensures follow-up actions are completed to prevent reoccurrence
Member of a team that provides support, as needed, to control systems across the site for reliable 24/7 operation of production assets
Occasional travel (<5% of time) will be required for training or sharing technology with other Ashland sites
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology
10+ years in a chemical manufacturing, refining or pharmaceutical environment
5+ years working in a process controls type of role
Ability to work effectively with personnel in all departments and roles within the facility
Proven communication, planning, and organization skills
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
15+ years of DCS experience, preferably with Emerson Delta-V both batch and continuous
PLC experience (Allen Bradley/Modicon)
Experience with data historian (ASPEN)
Experience working at a PSM facility with alarm management/rational.
Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint, Word, PowerPoint
Compensation: Salary is competitive and negotiable based on experience and qualifications. We are open to discussing compensation to ensure it aligns with the skills and value you bring to the role.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
